A “Theatre-versary”

So, this is happening.

This year marks 5 years since my first show at the #GeorgeArtsTheatre and it has enriched my life in ways that only fellow stage-lovers will truly understand.

Nevermind the fact that the theatre has taught me to dance, sing and act (and juggle, haha), it has also taught me discipline and sacrifice.

It has taught me to believe in myself even when every inch of me wants to run offstage and hide. It has improved my self-confidence (even though I still have mini meltdowns during auditions because of nerves) to such an extent that I can pursue other passions and interests that I would never have dreamed of 10 years ago.

It has also given me a second family filled with super talented and even kookier people. The kind of people who also uses over-exaggerated hand movements when doing even something as mundane as explaining where the toilets are located. The kind of friends who will not only appreciate the “normality” of doing a little dance in a grocery store, they will burst out singing when a memory-filled song comes on.

So here’s to a 5 year musical anniversary. This year, you can call me ‘Mother’ 😉
